![]() ![]() Sure, they're getting sales on Steam now, but a lot of multiplayer games have that draw at initial release because they're brand new or novel. That all being said, I'm wondering if the amount they received from EGS exclusivity was enough to warrant not bringing it to Steam for a year. ![]() ![]() And there's no saying that was or wasn't in the developer's roadmap or pipeline anyways, prior to the exclusivity announcement. Sure, it's pro-developer if they can cancel out the development costs with the money EGS gives them, but that has nothing to do with the consumer unless we're talking continued support down the line for stuff like DLC (like you said). I'm not the person you were responding to but from my perspective, it's anti-consumer to incentivize a developer to put their product on only one platform exclusively. We hope everyone enjoys the Tenosian Invasion content today, and we can't wait to see you on the battlefield! Throughout the day we'll be hosting people playing the game on our Twitch and on our Steam store, so there will be plenty to gameplay to watch all day.Īs a quick reminder, you will not be able to transfer your game progress from EGS to Steam when you play today, but you will be able to do so in a future update. This morning at 10am ET, myself and two other developers (Steve and Leif, who were present in our Horse stream if you saw that one) will be kicking off the launch by streaming on Twitch and to the Steam store page where we will be answering your questions, chatting, and playing the game live with everyone. This update includes: horses, a brand new faction - Tenosia, four new maps (two Team Objective maps and two Team Deathmatch maps), added Achievements for PC Players on EGS and Steam, console server browser, combat balance improvements, and more! To see an entire list of changes in this update, please read the 2.5 patch notes over on our website. Simultaneously, the Tenosian Invasion update will also be released on all platforms (PC, Xbox, and PlayStation). If you're purchasing on Steam, be sure to join our Steam community to get access to these cool new helmets as well! These helmets are Steam community exclusives (and Chivalry 1 ownership on Steam exclusive as well) but will be coming to other platforms at a future date. Hello everyone, today is the big day! One year after its launch on the Epic Games Store, Chivalry 2 will be launching on Steam today at 7am PT, 9am CT, 10am ET, 3pm BST. ![]()
